U&I Foundation NPC has been invited to assist in Mandeni Local Municipality's career guidance and application outreach program as a team from an institution of higher learning, trusted to deliver information and services of CAO, NSFAS, Bursary applications as well as career counselling which commenced on 17 August 2022, starting with Sikhuthele High School in Ward 03 and Tugela Secondary School in Ward 02 of Mandeni.
On Thursday and Friday(18;19 -August 2022) combined, the foundation visited four(4) high schools in Wards 06;16 & Wards 11;05 respectively. The sensational highlight of this educational tour so far was when the foundation visited Mgandeni High School(Ward 11) on Friday morning, as the team got to witness the matric pupils dressed up like their parents and grandparents in the olden days following the " Golden 90's" dress up trend.
The program is planned and conducted in a manner meant to serve two high schools per day if not three, depending on the scale of school's matric class of 2022 and we look to have contributed(collaborating with other similar work structured organizations invited) in assisting a sum of twenty-one high schools around Mandeni Local Municipality by the end of this social intervention program(on 30 August 2022) with all applications concerning access to institutions of higher education and possible funding. Our aspiration is to inspire hope for an empowered tomorrow therefore we will contribute in bettering our younger generations chances of a secured higher education.
